18 FUN Things To Do in a Storm
Stuck at
home because of hurricane Ian? Wondering what to do with the kids? Don’t fret.
Here’s some
entertaining projects you can do together as a family.
1.Make
frozen popsicles or smoothies using real fruit or diluted juice. Just blend the fruit and freeze or make some
interesting types of smoothies with what you have. I like adding a frozen
banana or almond butter or avocado to make it creamy.
2.Make a
healthy family meal together.
3.Break out the board games (remember those!) i.e., Monopoly, Life, Scrabble, Trivial pursuit, Taboo or play cards (i.e., rummy, uno, spades, hearts, go fish).
4.Play with your animals. It's a great opportunity to BOND especially if they are scared or nervous.
5.Get out
the coloring books or make one. It’s fun
for all ages.
6.Draw some
pretty pictures. My nieces love using watercolor paints.
7.Create a
family vision board.
8.Write a
cute story together.
9.Make
snowflakes with coffee filters.
10.Dress up
and have a costume party.
11.Read a
story to each other or make one up.
12.Play charades,
21 questions or initials.
13.Write out
empowering quotes or make up some. I like to put them up around the house.
14.Put the
music on and have a dance party. You can also have a singing or dance contest
or do some Karaoke.
15.Cuddle
and watch an uplifting movie with some buttery popcorn.
16.Pillow
fight and tickle each other or even have a fun workout. My nieces and I like
jumping on the trampoline. I also jump on my bed.
17.Clean and
organize. I honestly love doing this with my husband.
18.Share
some hilarious stories and tell each other what YOU LOVE ABOUT THEM!
